What we collect, and what we do with it.
This site is run by The Co-Signal Collective, based in Phoenix, Arizona. We collect only what you choose to send us, we use it to reply to you, and we don't sell it.
What we collect
- The review request form. Your name, company, work email, what you tell us about the decisions that wait on you, and whether you asked to receive the Co-Signal Index.
- The Bearing preview. The sentence or two you type is sent to an AI model to write the draft you see. We don't save your text or the draft. To prevent misuse we keep a daily count of requests against a scrambled (hashed) version of your network address, which we can't turn back into the address.
- The cost calculator and team switcher. These run in your browser. Your team choice is remembered on your own device; the calculator numbers aren't sent to us.
- Basic hosting records. Our hosting provider records standard technical information, such as page requests and approximate location, to keep the site running and count visits.
How we use it
- To reply to your review request and prepare for that conversation.
- To send you the Co-Signal Index, if you ticked that box. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To keep the site working and protect it from misuse.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
We use service providers to host this site and its database, and an AI model provider to generate Bearing preview drafts. They process information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep review requests for as long as we're in conversation with you, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Bearing preview counts are kept for a short period and then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information you've sent us. Email michael@thecosignal.com or use the contact form on our home page, and we'll act on it promptly.
Children
This site is for businesses. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
